How does one cite articles published by the Bahá’í Encyclopedia Project?

Styles for citing material on the Web vary greatly (and are changing). A good resource that provides guidelines for MLA, CMS, APA, and other styles is Online: A Reference Guide to Using Internet Resources at http://www.bedfordstmartins.com/online/citex.html.

The Encyclopedia Project uses a hybrid note style based (with small changes) on Chicago Manual of Style guidelines for citing online sources other than books or periodicals. An example of a reference to one of our articles, using our house style, is:
