The Bahá’í Encyclopedia Project

Providing accurate information about the Bahá’í Faith for scholars, students, the media, public officials, and general readers has been a primary goal of the Bahá’í Encyclopedia Project since its inception.

The Bahá’í Encyclopedia Project seeks to Web publish articles that will eventually become part of an encyclopedic reference work covering all aspects of the Bahá’í Faith:

  • Its history
  • The lives of deceased individuals throughout the world who have influenced its history
  • Its teachings on both fundamental and secondary topics
  • Its institutions and laws
  • Its literature

Articles published by the Bahá’í Encyclopedia Project provide a general overview of the Bahá’í Faith as well as topical information on specific people, places, historical events, and other subjects. The accompanying notes and bibliographies give direction to the reader or researcher who may wish to delve further into a subject.
